Abstract

Abstract. Traditional theological language has failed to accommodate traumatic experiences, particularly through theodicy and premature forgiveness doctrine. This article aims to criticize these failures and offer a trauma-informed Christian education model as a narrative space for healing for victims of trauma. This study adopts an interdisciplinary approach that integrates pastoral theology, trauma studies, and Indonesian contextual theology. This research proposes a model of Christian education as a ministry of presence that creates a safe space for survivors to reconstruct their own narratives with the patient and empathetic accompaniment of the faith community.

Abstrak. Bahasa teologi tradisional mengalami kegagalan dalam mengakomodasi pengalaman trauma, khususnya melalui penggunaan teodise yang menyakitkan dan doktrin pengampunan yang prematur. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkritisi kegagalan tersebut serta menawarkan model pendidikan Kristiani yang trauma-informed sebagai ruang naratif penyembuhan bagi korban trauma. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan interdisipliner yang mengintegrasikan teologi pastoral, studi trauma, dan teologi kontekstual Indonesia. Penelitian ini menawarkan model pendidikan Kristiani sebagai ministry of presence yang menciptakan ruang aman bagi penyintas untuk merekonstruksi kisahnya sendiri dengan pendampingan komunitas iman yang sabar dan empatis.
