Menelusuri Jejak Kebebasan: Pemikiran Teologis Deuteronimist dalam Kitab Ulangan dan Resonansinya dengan Semangat Pancasila

Abstract

Abstract. Bible scholars have suggested that the book of Deuteronomy was redacted by the Deuteromonist. This group compiled the book of Deuteronomy as a response to foreign domination or imperialism against Israel. Therefore, this study aimed to encounter the ideology of the book of Deuteronomy with the spirit of independence in the ideology of Pancasila. The method used in this study is the method of redaction criticism, namely by looking at the ideology of the editor of the book of Deuteronomy and encountering it with the ideology of Pancasila. The result of this study indicate that the values in Pancasila that pursue for humanity and social justice are in line with the struggle of the Deuteronomist in the Old Testament.
