UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MATERI SAKRAMEN BAPTISAN KUDUS MELALUI METODE KOOPERATIF MODEL THINK PAIR SHARE PADA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 17 SURAKARTA SEMESTER 2 TAHUN 2013/2014
Abstract
This study aims to first, improve student learning activeness in understanding the Sacrament of Holy Baptism material for students of class VII semester of Junior High School 17 2 Surakarta Year 2013/2014 through the application of methods of cooperative model of Think Pair Share. Second, improve the understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism material for Class VII students of SMP Negeri Surakarta 17 2nd half year 2013/2014 through the application of methods of cooperative model Think Pair Share. Third, improve learning outcomes Sacrament of Holy Baptism material for students of class VII semester of Junior High School 17 2 Surakarta Year 2013/2014 through the application of methods of cooperative model of Think Pair Share.
Strategies in classroom action research was conducted through 2 cycles and in each cycle includes planning, implementation / action, observation and reflection. Being to enable students in this study, researchers used a question and answer approach and brainstorming.
That is the subject of the action research class is Class VII students of SMP Negeri Surakarta 17 Semester 2 Year 2013/2014 being the object of Christian Religious Education is learning the material being taught Sacrament of Holy Baptism using the cooperative model of Think Pair Share.
From research conducted by examining the initial conditions of students as measured by means of a written test and the results of action research with 2 cycles saw an increase of initial conditions on the results of the study participants completed 20.0%, in the first cycle, the average learning results obtained 46.7% were completed and the second cycle the average results obtained studying classical learners reach 86.7% success.
From the results of this action research, the researcher recommends the office or executive decision in this case is learning teaching materials for teaching and learning in small groups with a model of cooperative methods Think Pair Share.
