Metode Naratif dalam Konseling Pneumatologis dan Penerapannya bagi Anak Pendeta Usia Remaja

Jessica Elizabeth Abraham, Junifrius Gultom

Abstract

Abstract. The position of pastor often brings its own psychological burden to their children. They often face excessive expectations related to their parents' position. As a result, pastor's children may experience stress or even have lower life satisfaction compared to their peers whose parents are not pastors. Some even start doubting their Christian faith and no longer call themselves Christians. This paper aimed to show how the narrative approach applied in pneumatological counselling can help pastors' kids to establish their unique position and role as pastors' kids. The method used in this study was a literature study. Through this study, it was found that the narrative approach in pneumatological counselling helps to construct a new narrative so that pastor children can understand themselves well, apart from the narrative that has been constructed by their environment.
