Teologi Migrasi dan Diakonia Transformatif: Sebuah Tawaran Berteologi Merespons Realitas Migrasi di Era Globalisasi

Abstract


Abstract. This article seeks to explore an emerging Migration Theology to respond to the reality of global migration. Global migration indicates migrants often experience injustice, violence, exploitation, and human trafficking. Using qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach and literature study, this article concludes that transformative diaconia is recommended in responsding to the reality of global migration with three approaches, namely: increasing cooperation between institutions dealing with migrants, strengthening international diaconal institutions, and solidarity actions for migrants.

Abstrak. Artikel ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi Teologi Migrasi dan relasinya dengan pembebasan dalam rangka merespons realita migrasi global. Migrasi global memperlihatkan, kaum migran acap kali mengalami ketidakadilan, kekerasan, eksploitasi, dan perdagangan manusia. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis dan kajian literatur, artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa diakonia transformatif sebagai keniscayaan dalam merespons realitas migrasi global dengan tiga pendekatan, yaitu: peningkatan kerjasama antar lembaga yang menangani migran, penguatan lembaga diakonia internasional, dan aksi dukungan solidaritas kepada kaum migran.
