Abstract

Abstract. Churches often confront evangelism against social action. This study aims to construct the integration of evangelism and social justice in order to formulate a holistic mission for the church in Indonesia. The methodology employed is biblical exposition. The result indicates that the Bible connecting the proclamation of the Gospel with advocacy for marginalized groups. In conclusion, evangelism and social justice are inseparable dimensions; therefore, the church needs to embody this integration through transformative diakonia, advocacy, and economic empowerment.

Abstrak. Gereja kerap mempertentangkan kegiatan penginjilan dan aksisosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji integrasi penginjilan dan keadilan sosial untuk merumuskan misi yang holistik bagi gereja di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan ialah eksposisi teks Alkitab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Alkitab mengaitkan pemberitaan Injil dengan pembelaan terhadap kelompok marginal. Kesimpulnya, penginjilan dan keadilan sosial merupakan dua dimensi yang tak terpisahkan sehingga gereja perlu mewujudkannya melalui diakonia transformatif, advokasi, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi.
