“Aku ini Allah, Bukan Suami”: Kritik Retoris Hosea 11:1-9
Abstract
Abstract. The metaphor of God's relationship with His people in Hosea 11 has shifted from a marital relationship, Hosea with Gomer, to a parent-child relationship, a mother with her child. The purpose of this study was to explore the shift in metaphor that influences the reader's understanding of God's character which is often depicted in the form of a man, to God's person as a Mother. Using a rhetorical criticism approach, this study showed the depiction of God as a gentle and loving caregiver.
