REFLEKSI GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA KRISTEN SEBAGAI MISIONARIS DI DALAM PENDIDIKAN

Abstract

The Great Comission which constitutes duty of preaching gospel to the whole world is burden for all believers. The command was not only given to the apostles and followers at time it was spoken by Jesus. At present time, whoever believe in Jesus as Lord and confess Him as only Savior would take this charge. Every teacher of Christian Education has special task as spearhead for preaching gospel in educational world. Christian Education teachers do not only do their academic duties. As evangelistic agent, a Chrisitian Education teacher has to be able to explain Gospel and motivate student to believe and accept that good news.

Teacher must bear witness to the student by Holy Spirit’s leading. After students has received and believed Jesus as Lord and Savior, teacher has to self-involve and accompany them in growing up. Teacher must realize that Christian Education purpose is to fulfill Jesus’ Great Comission; not only to preach gospel but also make “disciple” of Jesus. It is neccesary for teacher to teach and motivate students to involve their-selves in evangelism. Teacher engraft this tenet to students, that God has come not only for them, but for others as well.
